Actually VW doesn�t call it insulation but sound dampener.

I have the kitchen completely out and was starting to do my measurements and
set up for my new install and realized that there is almost 5 inches in some
areas behind there for insulation rather than the 2 inch stuff that is in
there.  Trying to decide whether to reclaim that space or fill it better.
Also found corrosion around every entry point under the kitchen.  Will be
completely pulling the floor after all and replacing it after retreating the
floor with anticorrosion and probably a rubberized coating before I put a
floor back down again.
