I shipped my '90 back last June. It cost $863 outbound (9/02) and fuel surcharges made it over $900 on the return (6/04). >-----Original Message----- >From: JordanVw@AOL.COM [mailto:JordanVw@AOL.COM] >Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2005 3:35 PM > >good project for someone...? > >http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=125768 Someone in Hawaii... There's a terrific VW shop in Kailua - the street in front is frequently populated entirely with Vanagons. I counted nine one time. The local VW dealer folded sometime after we moved back to Texas(6/04). The rust is a problem, although I was quite surprised at how well our cars did during the short stay - no apparent rust. The same cannot be said for our tools and bicycles. It's pretty easy to identify the iron-based parts on a bike after about two weeks. There are probably more VW vans per square mile on Oahu than any other place in the U.S.. Now, how can I back up that claim? -- bcnu - Grungy (Baytown, TX) opinions are just that.obviously. 60 dddPanel 69 Bug 90 Vanagon 00 Audi A6 Avant 05 Jetta Wagon TDI g r u n g y AT g r u n g y DOT c o m
