Are you going to cross the border?  I've often wanted to check out some of the labor history in Mexico.  (I know, for example, that Tijuana was under the control of the wobblies for a while around 1910 or so).  If you'd be interested, I have a friend that might be able to recommend some interesting things to see south of the border relevant to this kind of stuff.
