Subject:Re: vanagon repair place around Asbury Pk NJ?

I read something about the project last spring, and it mentioned that they'd
be hiring an army of unskilled folks to actually set up the gates. So I
found their website and signed up! It's great fun.

The interesting thing about their work is that in a way it's not that this
particular installation - or any of the others - is that particularly
splendid, but that they have the wherewithal (mostly she has the
wherewithal) to actually make them happen. We could all have cool ideas,
but she's got chutzbah and guts and persistence and immense networking
ability and she can convince people to give them the permits they need to do
this. And find a way to pay for it.

Oops, um, well, it's almost Friday! And vanagons are works of environmental
art too, so doesn't that make it relevant?
