I've driven my 1985 Vanagon for years without a gas cap as it has that metal over gas inlet hole..... Does not having gas cap affect (1) mileage and/or engine's computer? I do understand it would affect emissions but I'm not in that kind of County. Any thoughts to tell me "why I should replace my gas cap".... Larry Georgia > Anyone got one?
