Subject:Re: cleaning engine upsets throttle body switch

The one on my 1.9 looks like a fairly standard micro-switch (used in all
kinds of electro-mechanical devices like pay-phones and pinball machines
(OK, so I'm old enough to remember both of those things :-).

The only electrical differences possible are whether the switch is
"normally open", or "normally closed" (NO or NC). An NO switch 'turns on'
when you push the little lever, NC 'turns off' when you push the lever.

So, if they are both NO, (or both NC), and the mounting is the same, they
should be interchangable.

Good luck!
