Roadmaster makes tow bar brackets that fit the Vanagon Wonderfully. That is the set-up you want. They also sell a taillight wiring adapter so the 3 wire (tail, stop, turn) lights on the motorhome can work the 4 wire lights ( tail, brakes, right-left turn) on the Vanagon. A couple questions..We used to pull it on a tow dolly and it tracked quite well, however there were no auxiliary brakes.I have since purchased a Braking system that sits in the cab of the Vanagon and applies the brakes according to a pendulum (Brake Buddy). The part that isn't completely solidified is the tow bar.I had a Valley Industries tow bar I used to pull my Jeep around with and was considering mounting it up and going, but I was wondering if anyone else had any other brilliant ideas.tow bars get pretty spendy (up over 1K) and the old ones for Beetles look very attractive :-) Anyone??? Also, it looks as though I can leave the key in the ignition after keying on and off and the steering column doesn't lock until you pull the key out.so I won't have to worry about pulling the fuel pump fuse. Any help is appreciated. Dave
