I just pulled the alternator out after a week of running with the red dummy lites on---(I had 2 of the manufacturers screws fall out of the old one)----The quick question is 1:WHAT is the little 1 inch square thing on the back with the wire coming out-a condensor?-- 2: Why isn't it on my new alternator? and 3: Should I get a new one or just switch out the old part? Thanks----G. DIESELSLAVE'S HOMEPAGE YAHOO AUCTIONS EBAY AUCTIONS
