I have both & prefer sirius over XM
If your into sports Sirius carries all NFL games, (both home & away feeds) and has a 24/7 "NFL network"
Sirius also has NBA programing.
XM is scheduled to start broadcasting all MLB games this season.
I also like Sirius' Music stations over XM's but I do enjoy XM's Deeptracks station.
My wife likes XM's "20 on 20" which plays top 20 over & over & over ......

So what to do?
Get one of each! :-)
