So very true Mike. They will also take funds for non-payment of child
support but with a court order. I am sure there is a court order of some
type for license fees + late fees.

My guy at California DMV says that after they send three letters on late reg
they send the information to the Franchise Tax Board [California's IRS].
FTB can and does take the money out of what ever accounts they can find.
