Thanks George. I had occasion today to make the 2-hour drive to town (Santa Rosa) for domestic provisions, and stopped in at just such a parts place - Smothers Parts - where I found just what I needed. Actually they found it after 5 minutes of searching through a catalog. This one came pre-wired with 2 leads. In the van, it looks like 3 wires attach to the 2 contacts in the connector, with the 2 white wires on 1 side and the brown on the other. At least 1 must go to the ecu. Can anyone direct me to the Bentley wiring diagram covering this? -Phil -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of George Goff Sent: Friday, February 25, 2005 9:11 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Re: Intermittent starting problem and temp II In a message dated 2/25/05 10:20:55 PM, pchidlaw@MCN.ORG writes: << Does anyone know of a source for a new temp II connector? >> With all that Bosch stuff out there a good auto parts house might have what you need. In the more populated areas there are fuel injection specialty shops who might be able to help. If nothing else, perhaps the connector shown in the following link might work. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=MSD%2D2400 Or, go to a junkyard and kife a connector from a European car harness.
