I have roof rack on my Westy, which means the recumbent I'll
eventually buy will have to go up there.  The roof rack is over
7' off the ground, and I'm 5'10'' on a good day, which makes
access a challenge.  I'd have to install a long, aluminium
u-channel to hold the bike and utilize some type of a creative
retention system.

There's a new type of roof rack system for SUVs which slides out
and down to meet you - that's a great concept.
