VW never had the "lights on" buzzer before the 90's They must have figured they were covered by the headlights [ but not the parking lights ] turning off if you turned the engine off. I have managed to leave the [ parking] lights on accidently before and still managed to start the car after 8 hours at work. [ oops] There are afternarket lights-on-buzzers kits available. never tried them myself Tom > ---------- > From: Vanagon Mailing List on behalf of Paul Guzyk > Reply To: Paul Guzyk > Sent: Monday, March 7, 2005 11:33 AM > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > Subject: Re: Light buzzer > > I'm pretty sure there is only a buzzer if you leave the keys in the > ignition and open the drivers door, but nothing to remind you your > lights are on. > > > > >Does the 84GL Vanagon have a buzzer for when you leave the lights on > >and turn off the ignition or leave the vehicle? > >
