Hi Volks,

Just a quick note to ask if anyone has a good standard transmission for
a 1982 Vanagon somewhere between Georgia and Roanoak VA. My parents are
on their way home from Florida and about a half-hour ago they suffered
the complete loss of fourth gear. 1st, 2nd and 3rd are all still OK, so
they are nursing it along as gently as possible until they can get to
Mark Dearing's shop in Salem VA.

If you have a line on a known good transmission, please email Mark
Dearing at VWbrain@aol.com ASAP.

THANKS!
