Tires (if rated) will carry a marking like 6PR or 8PR on them. This means "6 ply rated" or "8 ply rated". The ply rating is an old standard dating back many years to old materials. Now you will usually see "load range C" or "load range D" on the sidewall of the tires usually in the small print if it is a load rated tire. Do not judge by a big letter "C" sometimes in the tire number. This just means Commercial rated by the MFR. http://tactical-bus.info/tireinfo.html Someday will update that page with the rest of the info I have laying around. jimt Planned insanity is best.
