I used to always want to do a Porsche, but the cost was always prohibitive.
 I have an Subaru SVX (6 cylinder 230 hp) powered Westy and it it awesome.
20 mpg highway, 16.5 city.  The conversion is easy to do, it fits under the
lid, and the engines cost 1-2000 bucks instead of 8-12000.  I have a synchro
which will soon recieve the same engine.
