Finally got the "Haus" out of the shop yesterday .. 6 week "Engine Coolant" ordeal.

I'll do a full post mortem report in a couple of days.

One question ...

The engine temp gauge is running at  "Half" the normal temp.

At normal operating temp, it is only half way from the bottom to the LED.

For the last three years over a variety of engines, the temps has always been close 

to or mid way on the LED.

The shop tells me they checked the actual temps and everything looks ok.

Any thoughts on the gauge reading?
