Joel,
So you wanted that higher temperature because of
those cold canadian winters, eh?
Should make no difference where the needle sets as
long as you have no unusual fan activity or your not
loosing coolant. The better question is what happens
when you are pulling a good hill on a hot day.
You need a president up there? Take ours please.
       happy trails, gary

Subject: Re: 80 degree thermostat

I change my thermostat last year and the temp needle
is higher since.
It
used to be in the middle of the red light and now it
is just above.
It is
because I have this higher temperature thermostat?
Is it OK if the
needle is higher or just above the red light?

Is it also true that the higher temperature thermostat
wears out the
hoses?
Thanks
Joel
