I was wondering if there is a paint that would take all the heat.  I would paint it some better color than rust.  Or is there a substance that is for putting on the exhaust pipes to keep rust away?  
And would a sacricial marine type of thing help to keep the exhaust and the bolts and nuts new instead of having them rust away?
Any thoughts?
