There is a non-USA BMW that was impounded last week here in the denver area. He was trying to get it accepted for almost 2 years. The vehicle was basically just surrendered after the owner gave up on the hassle. The vehicle was never US EPA or Canadian certified or type classed from what I was told. Dont know how he got it to the US other than probably on a ship. Colorado has also recently tightened its titling requirements for vehicles with no previous title noting a certificate of origin. This was coordinated with the Mexican and Canadian gvts. Wondering what incident set that one off. jimt On 4/16/05 14:09, "David Marshall" <mailinglist@FASTFORWARD.CA> wrote: > Wait a minute - just because they are in the USA, doesn't mean that you will > have no BS with customs... you NEED paperwork from these guys showing that > duty was paid and that they pass EPA and DOT regs before you can title > them - that is unless you know something that the rest of the world doesn.t > > David Marshall > > Fast Forward Automotive Inc. > 4356 Quesnel-Hixon Road > Quesnel BC Canada V2J 6Z3 > > http://www.fastforward.ca mailto:sales@fastforward.ca > Phone: (250) 992 7775 FAX: (250) 992 1160 > > - Vanagon Accessories and Engine Conversions > - Vanagon, Transporter and Iltis Sales and Importation > - European Lighting for most Volkswagen models > > > Due to the large volume of email we receive, PLEASE include previous > emails when responding.
