I would bet those curtain rod covers would be better served as a vacuum formed part than an injection molded part (cheaper tooling, but a little more expensive piece part price... but still in the "buck or two" range). I know of vendors, but that is up here in Vancouver, BC (Canada, eh), and i would be surprised if you ever made up the cost of tooling... I would estimate $500 to $1k for a vac form. Injection molding would be closer to $3k or $4k Just a couple things to think about... Don't a couple list members have little vacuum formers in their garages? I remember something about this a little while back... -Damon --- JordanVw@AOL.COM wrote: > In a message dated 4/20/05 7:49:13 AM Eastern > Daylight Time, > sam.cooks@verizon.net writes: > > > > you are going to do it since it is simple for you > > regarding reproducing the '80-'84 westy right rear > plastic curtain rod cover > - well i have a few "donors" here.. i just need to > locate someone who does > plastic extrusion or injection molding.. do u > know anyone? > > > chris > '84 Westy "The Van" w/2.3L WBX Vancouver, BC __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
