Larry,
I work on gravel and have found cardboard to be my best friend. The
gravel doesn't feel to bad at first but after a while they dig in and leave
little bruises all over your back. A stout piece of wood under the jack and
chocked tires is also recommended.
-Good Luck

It's Friday so bare w/ me.....
Besides carpet, has anyone had a good experience, that they'd like to share,
about working on top of gravel.
I need to replace rear wheel bearings in my 1985 Vanagon and have no place
to work, except nice flat gravel spot!
I also am thinking about issues of jacking van up with my jack in gravel,
not good!
Thanks for any insights.....
Larry
