john: just squirt some engine oil into #1, and if compression comes way up, rings are shot. if no or little change, valve(s) are the culprit. a vacuum guage is an elegant and inexpensive diagnostic tool useful for the getting a fix on ring and valve operation. there are so many other things that could cause stalling at lights that i would be very careful not to jump to conclusions. vacuum leaks, fouled plugs, and on and on, could be causing the stalling. dan On Mon, 2 May 2005 07:50:29 -0700, John Schaper <JSchaper@SCHSA.ORG> wrote: >Last week I posted a question about stalling at stop lights.
