I want to fit a remote start to my diesel. All the local
autoelectricians (those who have HEARD of them) say they cannot
supply units; one said they are illegal on manual cars.

Anyone know what would be involved in fitting one to a diesel?

It'd be nice to be able to have the car defrost/fog its glass and be
warm by the time I get dressed & head out to work...
