I'm doing the same job right now.
The correct size is 46 mm.
A 1 13/16" socket also fits nearly perfect. I got one from Sears a while back and I'm using it
now.
Instead of the 3/4" drive, you can also use a BF pipe wrench directly on the socket. We have one
about 30" long that breaks stubborn ones loose with ease.

Please verify the socket size needed for removal.

46 mm? Correct????

What is that in American Size and can that be done?

I plan to use a 3/4 inch. drive and an approx. 3 ft. pipe....

Thanks
