today it was just siting right in top of the sensor and not in the little
recess on the tank at all.  Could it be comming out of the electical

Leak Solved! I got a replacement coolant level sensor free of charge from
GoWesty and no more leak...so far...at least not from that location.  So it
looks like my previouse new sensor was defective and leaking from the wire
connector.
