Hi all.  The two side rear windows and the rear itself on my '87  syncro
westy are tinted.  Not sure if this is factory or aftermarket, did  VW offer this?
 For sure its in pretty punk condition.  While they are  out I am considering
just removing it.  Are these windows straight glass,  i.e. can I razor the
old tinting off, or are they plastic safety glass?   I'm mostly concerned about
the side windows, the rear I think I'm going to just  replace, as the
defroster is hosed anyways.
