Robbie, You're not likely to get many answers to this question as there aren't too many people who have had troubles with their auto trannies ... not compared to the number of problems with the 4 speeds anyway. As to prevention of blowing transmission cooler seals ... make sure the engine isn't over pressurizing the cooling system through leaky internal headgaskets or cracked heads. Mike C. According to the owner the transmission cooler blew a seal and coolant was pumped into the transmission. The tranny now does nothing when put into any gear. I assume this means the trans needs a total rebuild? How could this be prevented from happening again? He said the trans had actually be slipping for a few months before this occured, is that significant in any way? Thanks for any help or suggestions. > > -Rob > > > --------------------------------- > Yahoo! Mail > Stay connected, organized, and protected. Take the tour >
