I realize now that I was a little vague; Bentley calls this the "output housing" on the 4WD transmission. It is coming from the transaxle output case at the parting seam, not the driveshaft seal itself (the housing where a driveshaft decoupler would be). It appears that there is no paper gasket, but instead a bead of something similar to "the Right Stuff" or some similar gasket forming material. Looks like it is easy enough to unbolt, clean up and carefully reseal. Any problems that I am not foreseeing? Thanks, Dave -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
