The first time I ever got into a Westy (actually, also the Westy that
we now own and enjoy) about two years ago and started the engine I was
treated to a little melody emanating from somewhere in the dashboard.

It made my wife and I look at each other and laugh. It still makes us
happy to hear this tune.

What, though, is the purpose of this little ditty?

Marketing?

Reminder to put on your seat belts?

My wife says it's the motor rejoicing:
