Any nylon/plastic/polymer part needs to be replaced periodically if it is in contact with fuels or high VOC liquids/vapors. I pulled mine when I did the first fuel line change on my van right after I got it. I try to only use brass fittings anywhere in the fuel system. There is some discussion of this in the groups that have plastic tanks as well. jimt On 5/25/05 4:13 AM, "Andrew Grebneff" <andrew.grebneff@STONEBOW.OTAGO.AC.NZ> wrote: >> #1) Replace all the fuel lines in the engine bay. > > While doing, this, get rid of the stupid plastic fitting the line > attaches to when entering the emgine bay; these are brittle and have > caused fires... > -- > Andrew Grebneff > Dunedin > New Zealand > Fossil preparator > <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> > Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut > > HUMANITY: THE ULTIMATE VON NEUMANN MACHINE > > DEMOCRACY: RULE BY THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR > >
