heres an interesting vanagon 4sale in CA. it has the early 1980 metal rear intake louvers. but the front lower grill doesn't look 'hacked' but looks like the metal is formed like a late model.. <http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15291&item=4552668473&rd=1> any insights from the model experts?
