One more to add would be the Wagon Shop in Bellevue. No need to pull the engine to do this job. I had the oil light issue after picking up my Westy in Denver and driving back to Seattle due to the dealer's mechanic using too light of weight. Switching to 50wt as I do in all of my VW's fixed it for good. -----Original Message----- From: Vanagon Mailing List [mailto:vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com] On Behalf Of A. I have a list of local mechanics - Petersons in Port Angeles, Louis in Seattle, Harmony in Bellingham, Import Auto in Seattle, Rudi's in Port Townsend - any others to add (or ideas on these)? The debate rages on - if you are going to do one head gasket do thhe other, if you are going to pull the engine....it's worth it...you don't have to pull the engine....of course you can do just one!
