<< Also as I was closing the system back up that same hose blew off. I
reused the same spring type clamp that was on it. So now I'm off to get
a real hose clamp and will redo the process again. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are;

You have a restriction in the cooling system.
Like the radiator is not free flowing, half plugged up, and causing big
pressure in the system.

The weakest point will let go, which in this case is that hose
connection.

Get this fixed and you'll find that other hoses will blow, or become
dislodged.

Not uncommon at all.

I'd be checking the radiator out.
