<<Actually it is the opposite I have put 10k into this vehicle and I am preparing for a conversion which will solve all.>> Your really in a big hole. On the bottom of the money pit. And when your all done with it you'll have 20k into a deluxe VW designer rolling box, worth $2500.00 Good move. << It does not help the fact that I would like to use my vanagon tonight on a date to a fun concert>> Get the AAA card out. No cunnilingus for you when the tootsie has to walk 5 miles to the phone for the hook --; ) << If you aren't going to be helpful and help a member of this community please keep it to yourself. I have seen you offer some very good helpful insite to this list. Maybe I am being defensive and paranoid and missed the humor to your post.>> Sometimes the facts hurt a bit, and Stan was just busting your chops. Some Phriday Follies. No big deal. I thought his post was very informative, and humorous as usual. I thought this line was real good; ""Paranoid Maintenance Syndrome begins simply enough with the purchase of a Vanagon and quickly escalates into full blown Vanagon Syndrome as the owner spends untold amounts of money to support an aging Match Box designed vehicle."" He does speak truth regarding his Olds wagon . Turn the key and go, till it don't go no mo and then recycle it. No AFM wiper's, idle stabilizer's, digijet, or digifant, a guy named Hall, some wacky dual throttle positioning switch arrangement, or some 72 hose clamps , and a mile of coolant hose to prevent him from rolling till that day arrives. Make's sense to me.
