Loren's write-up is dead on, I've had this awning on my Westy for about
three years now and love it. I only learned two things the hard way:
1. Get real familiar with the proper method to swing the legs out
when you are opening the awning. If you try it for the first time on a dark
night, in the rain, you can break the pivot tip on the leg (fortunately,
Fiamma sells repair parts).
2. Beware of car washes. I ran my Westie through a local car wash
about five times before the awning caught hold of the cloth flaps. Managed
to stop my westie right there, and hold it in place even after the car
behind bumped into it. No damage to the awning, the westie, or the car
behind it, and I am now convinced that the brackets are *plenty* strong.
