I went to Busfusion 2005...last weekend and have just returned home from being up the Ottawa valley. Busted my exhaust pipe at #1 and did the old, cut up a tin can, rap the pipe with the metal, and rad clamp it together to get home. I enjoyed BusFusion this year (my first visit). Frank and his gang did a real good job organizing the affair, and I found some interesting vanagon modifications and restorative ideas to my liking.. Westy's are character magnets. And at a time when the world seems to be loosing that quality by trying to dumb things down...it's always nice to find a pocket full original doers. The list is a cool narrow dimensional tool... but, face to face is a far more full human experience...and with less misunderstanding, cause when you come smile to smile with others, it dissolves the written language problems, disarms defenses and opens the added body language door. It's hard not to like someone with Frank's smile and attitude. With a good showing of French, English, US and alternate culture...... good people were good company. Things that I remember. I went swimming more than a dozen times Benny's laugh Karl M. and his Syncro Phil's bumpers and diesel heater Rene's mint silver westy with window awnings A knockout 23 window SunSplitty A lovely green and white splitty westy A red and white splitty westy that actually gets used Lots of happy campers with an abundance of stories about their vans and favorite places. Only problem I had.... was not having enough time to meet more people. I have a few shots if someone wants to put them up on a site...p-mail RR
