Hi all,

The horn in my '80 has only functioned infrequently for some time.

I think the trouble is in the horn button....when it does work it sounds
weak so I'm thinking it isn't grounding well.

I'm trying to figure out how to get the horn button fascia off...any hints?

I've looked in all my VW books including Bentley, Haynes, etc. but don't
see it anywhere.

If there is more than one type mine is a nearly rectangular piece of
plastic with a round VW logo insert in the center (that I can get out
but I can't see what's holding the rest).

I've tried inserting a screw driver into what looks like two slots on
the top side of the button but can't get it to release.

I don't want to break the thing and have to find another.

Hints are appreciated.
