Hello all. I just replaced my clutch (first time) and had my flywheel resurfaced. I have a subaru vanagon and the old clutch had developed some hot spots (I shoudl have replaced it when doing the conversion) and was starting to chatter. If you want to see, go to page 3 &4 of http://www.mycommunitynet.net/gallery/conversionpics. It's the last picture on page 3 and only one on page 4. Anyway, it all seemed to go fine and it's all replaced I just drove it down the block and the engagement is now at the very bottom of the throw of the clutch pedal. It's so far down that there's only about an inch at the bottom where it's not engaging. Other than that it seems OK, but I was wondering if there was a way to bring this up a bit as it's a little tough to use. I have new master/slave cylinders and just bled it 2 weeks ago. With the old clutch it was the opposite...the engagement was at the top of the range. Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I am leaving on a 1500 mile trip tonight and don't want to be stuck because I did something wrong on my clutch setup. I bled it with my wife pumping the pedal and filling the reservoir with a tube into a bottle on the slave end. So if there is adjustment that can be done, great! If not at least reassure me that I will be fine carrying 6 people, 2 river rafts and lots of gear into and out of Hell's Canyon. FYI, here is my van's setup 1985 Vanagon 2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5 engine KEP Flywheel Luk 17-058 clutch, pressure plate etc. (it's listed as being for the 91 vanagon) New transmission from AA transaxle. Thanks and I appreciate any help or reassurance!!! Aaron '85 sunroof vanagon. 290,000 miles.
