If there was violent jerking after some serious bumps, it is likely that you have a loose or bad connection somewhere in the FI or ignition systems that is breaking contact on the bumps. Check all of them but one that is often overlooked is the connection on the side of the distributor coming from the Hall Sensor. Remote grounds like the one on the tranny, or from the negative terminal of the battery can be the cause of these symptoms. Pay attention to the ones on top of the engine and on the left side of the engine bay beneath the coil. -- Sam Walters Baltimore, MD 89 Syncro GL, Zetec Inside 85 Westy Weekender 85 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbodiesel - to become veggie oil powered All incoming and outgoing email scanned by automatically updated copy of Norton AntiVirus.
