I have a vanagon that I'm about to sell with an obviously rebuilt engine.

Besides the engine being very clean, the crank pulley (and a few
other parts) have been painted dark blue.

Are blue crank pulleys a trademark of any of the regular waterboxer
rebuilders or just someone with  leftover blue paint?
