*rotflol* i love the bat out of hell part.. these damn AFM's seem to be the real issue with the vanagon. peace, Joe -----Original Message----- From: Marc Perdue <marcperdue@ADELPHIA.NET> Sent: Jun 29, 2005 5:26 PM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Addendum: Boston Bob Big Valve Engine Update Subtitle: "Would you like your reality check, sir?" Day 3: I believe this is the longest-running dream I have ever had. Yet, I am black and blue from pinching myself. I have put a little over 100 miles on my '87 Westy since replacing the AFM and it's still running like an over-weight, under-powered bat out of hell! What's more surprising is that my gas gauge says my tank is half full! Before swapping out the AFM, I would normally be running close to empty and refilling the gas tank at about a hundred miles. Is it possible I've cured my engine's low-power problems? I can only hope . . . Marc Perdue
