Subject:2.1 oil leak revisited.
From:Jim Quan

As I had posted earlier, coming back from a Memorial Day trip to Santa
Cruz I noticed my 1991 Syncro Westy had oil residue on the back of van
and there was a decent amount of oil dripping onto my driveway as I
unloaded the weekend stuff. The responses to my original post
suggested either the oil cooler o-ring or the oil pressure switch
amongst other possibilities. I single these out because this problem
seems related to extented high RPM chugs up grades such as Pacheco
Pass on the way to Santa Cruz from the Valley. Otherwise, no oil leak,
no oil residue on the back of the van, it dissappears during everyday
driving. I need several things from the list... Is my diagnosis
correct based on the suggestions from the responses to my earilier
post? Where can I find the oil pressure switch? And if this is the
problem how do I remove and replace it? Your suggestions once again
are very welcome.

Jim
