Hummm, I bet the trimming was probably necessary since I have an "other than stock" gear shift lever. I've got a 5spd transmission, and the required shifting linkage, tranny mount, blah blah, all the way to the stock'ish looking "5spd" shift knob. Could it be that the new shifter I bought for the 5spd is thicker? Lemme know if any of y'all want a picture of this. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kim Brennan" <kimbrennan@mac.com> To: "Ryan Alfonso" <ryan_alfonso@COMCAST.NET> Cc: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Friday, July 01, 2005 10:30 AM Subject: Re: Momo shift knob - guilty pleasure > ??? > > I installed these are both of my Syncros and didn't have to do any > trimming.
