Doug, I think that warning refers to home-window type air conditioners and
not automotive air conditioners.

unit if you turn it on and off more than 3 times in an hour.  It
specifically says not to "power down"
Or restart without waiting at least 3 min if the power goes off.

My question is if the compressor cycles on and off based upon the
thermostat.
What is the concern?
