Folks,
I am so sorry for wasting bandwidth and brain cell energy on this  problem.
I went out
and was checking the high pressure switch near the oil pump and  discovered
it was
DISCONNECTED!!  How it worked itself loose I will never know (although  the
clamp
seemed a bit squishy, so I will keep an eye on it).  Thanks again for  all
your help ;-)
