WHats this valve clatter you speak of? I can't hear it over the knock of my Diesel vanagon.. When I acquired my AC model camper, it had a terrible lifter clatter. I used some Seafoam brand cleaner (available @ NAPA) in the crankcase and then a fresh batch of 20-50 oil. though for summer I've gone back to straight 30. Diesel duty rated(extra detergents-thats why it's soo dirty looking, more stuff held in suspension on Diesel service oils) Dan ______________________________________ Infrequent or long periods of not drivng the vehicle is almost a guarantee of the lifters going flat and having valve clatter on start-up.
