A glazed alt. belt will cause your altenater not to put out enough juice
(your a/c problem?).Check the alignment of where each belt goes and see
that your new belt is on the correct pulleys. I dont have  a engine handy
here to check, but I think the alt. belt also goes to the water pump too.
Install the belt using the correct pulleys, from this  point. Then go to a
junkyard and get your other parts , if needed.
