and irrelevant bear story ...

During our Westy visit to Glacier National Park last
fall

a ranger explained how to tell the difference between
the various types of bears found in the park.

"If you run away and shimmy up a tree, and the bear
climbs right up after you, it's a black bear," he
said. "But if he stays on the ground, and just shakes
the tree until you fall out, that's a grizzly."
