I FAR prefer cooking on a camp stove outside the vehicle where I can stand and move around freely anyway. -Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stan Wilder" <wilden1-1@SBCGLOBAL.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2005 3:35 PM Subject: Re: [VANAGON] Black Bears vs Westy Canvas? > I think one key to surviving in an area that is known for bear activity is > ............. never go in a westy that you've ever cooked bacon in. > As for myself; Anytime I cooked Bacon in my Westy I went down the road for > about six months salivating until the odors subsided. > It normally took that six months. > I learned to do my bacon cooking at home and pack the bacon along in plastic > bags. > > Stan Wilder > Engine Ceramics > 214-352-4931 > www.engineceramics.com >
